I think I’ve gone mad. I’ve been awake for over 3 days now and I don’t even feel slightly tired.

The rest of this entry is long as fuck.
I warned you.

I am extremely bored.

So I’m going to go ahead and recap my last 2 and a half days.

I feel like there’s nothing for me in Los Angeles.

The city I’ve lived in my entire life.. no longer feels like home.

This weekend was random as hell..

My friends and I had planned to attend SMTown, but the other day we gave our tickets away. To elaborate, we gave them to a girl who was on the verge of committing suicide. We saw this girl running away from her friends about to jump off of the South Coast Plaza bridge. Luckily, my friend got to her in time and held her down. It’s a long story, but in the end we decided to give her our tickets so that she and her friends could enjoy the rest of the weekend. She needed this break more than we did. Not to mention, I’ve been over this whole k-pop wave for quite a while now so I didn’t mind or regret it at all.

Since SMTown was now out of the question, we decided to go to Old Town Pasadena to thrift around and hang out. It was nothing out of the ordinary — we just caught up on times and then went our separate ways.

A bit after dinner time we met up again to grab a snack at Bon Epi in Diamond Jamboree. When we finished we noticed huge crowds by BCD Tofu House, and apparently several artists from the SM family were there. Being the curious mofos we are, we walked up and no doubt about it.. SNSD, SHINee, f(x), BoA, and some other male group were standing before us. I was honestly not as star-struck as I’d imagined I would’ve been. Aside from BoA, I was not too excited about seeing any of the other artists at all. In terms of attraction? I’d say I was more attracted to the female fans in the crowd admiring the idols over the actual idols themselves.

When I was younger it was routine that my family would gather in the hall in front of our small altar and pray the rosary together before we went to bed every night. Throughout the years, though, this routine slowed down and we eventually stopped altogether. Everyone’s schedule is just so busy and conflicting now that it’s hard to find time to get everybody together.
Being the insomniac that I am, I came home one night to discover my dad was still awake. I peeked in to see that he was reading a prayer book. This reminded me of those times we used to get together and I suddenly felt bad that I’ve become so distant within this family. Ever since then, even though we don’t gather for rosary anymore, I’ve picked up praying again and continue to make time to do so every night.

Came home from lunch only to find this waiting for me.

Lately I’ve found myself to have a lot of free time. Too much for my own good. I’m currently unemployed and I have one, fucking one on-campus class this quarter and next quarter. To fill that void, I’ve done several activities ranging from multiple job hunting missions to partying and bullshit. But there is one thing I’ve picked up ever since that surprises me. And that is.. reading. It’s interesting how something I used to hate became something I look forward to.
Recently, I finished The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, a novel by Haruki Murakami. I honestly picked up this book due to the tumblr hype behind Murakami, but now I can identify as to why that hype exists.

Anyhow, I won’t go rambling on, but I’m aware that several of you are into reading. So I wanted to ask for book recommendations. (*´・v・) Titles, authors, etc. I’m open to check anything out. So let me know! Thank you all in advance~
